About Dr. Lisker
The same physician at each visit.
For more than 30 years, patients from Reston, Herndon, Sterling, and across Northern Virginia have walked through the same door and been seen by the same doctor. Dr. Lisker performs every examination and every procedure herself — no rotating providers, no being handed off.
Her practice is comprehensive by design. She cares for the whole range of eye health: glasses and contact lens fittings, routine exams, dry eye, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration — and honest guidance when a surgical decision, like cataract surgery, is on the table.
That continuity matters. A physician who has examined your eyes for years notices what a new provider cannot: the slow drift in a pressure reading, a subtle change in the retina, the difference between "normal for you" and cause for concern.
Dr. Heidi Lisker attended the prestigious six-year medical program at Boston University, where she graduated summa cum laude as an undergraduate and cum laude from medical school. She then entered Harvard's Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital's internal medicine residency, after which she proceeded to complete her ophthalmology training at MedStar Georgetown Hospital. This was followed by a retina and vitreous fellowship at the same institution.
Dr. Lisker and her staff are fluent in English and Spanish.
